PORT POLLENÇA TO SA CALOBRA THEN CAIMARI
Port Pollença - Pollença - Coll de Femenia - Lluc - Col dels Reis - Sa Calobra - Col dels Reis - Lluc - Coll de Sa Batalla - Caimari - Selva - Moscari - Campanet - Port Pollenca
There is a lot of climbing (also descending). The route is amazingly scenic and with plenty of fueling stops en route. This is an outing to remember, one used mainly by locals or those that have been coming here for years.
There are excellent climbs (Coll de Femenia & Sa Calobra); amazing descents all over as well as Coll de Sa Batalla and scenic lanes lined with olive, almond, vines and citrus trees.
Just do not whatever you do forget that camera.
Highlights: Sa Calobra; the 'descent' from the aqueduct to Coll de Sa Batalla; Coll de Sa Batalla descent; the olive, almond, vines and citrus trees lining the lanes and valleys.
What to be aware of: There is a lot of climbing, it may be worth pacing yourself. The prevailing wind will be behind you when you set out and you will be mostly sheltered in the lanes around Caimari and Campanet on your return when the breeze generally will have picked up a little.
